"INTIMITÉ" by Dominik Moll — A Digital Restoration Demonstration
Intimité, Dominik Moll’s first feature film, was restored in high definition from new film scans, in collaboration with Eclair Préservation and Poly Son. LUMIRIS carried out the digital restoration of the images for current television and video distribution. This demo presents before-and-after excerpts from the restoration process.
The Art of Restoring Your Film Archives to Life
LUMIRIS presents a demonstration of its film restoration and colour grading process based on 16 mm and 35 mm scans. For 10 years, we have been digitally restoring image defects such as scratches, dust and instability, balancing colour, and providing a complete post-production pipeline after digitisation. This video illustrates our approach across projects ranging from feature films to heritage collections.
God of Gamblers — Restoring an Iconic Film
In 2023, LUMIRIS carried out a 2K digital restoration of God of Gamblers from 35 mm scans and separate audio files. The work focused on image cleaning and stabilisation, correction of scan defects, colour balancing and final grading. The soundtrack was restored through cleaning, improved intelligibility and resynchronisation, resulting in a restored master ready for archiving and distribution.
